To capture an alpaca, you will need a rope or chain, which you can buy at the store that is in the town. You are given five OldRopes to start. This should be enough to capture the lower level alpacas[]

In the top bar of your screen, you will see something called a "rank"; your rank increases when you do certain things, like capturing more alpacas or leveling up your alpacas. Tap on your rank to see the requirements to rank up.
Your first mission will be to reach level 4 with an alpaca. Defeat alpacas in Beginner Hill until your alpaca reaches level 4. Then, you will receive a notification that your rank has gone up - congratulations! Now you can go to Alpaca Hill. In the Alpaca Hill, the alpacas are stronger and there is a larger map to explore. It is hard at first when you go to the next world so your alpacas must be a higher level to defeat a higher level alpaca. I would recommend going in with 4 level 6 alpacas.
The Essentials
- Shadow and Light cotton-furred alpacas produce the 2nd most valuable wool out of all the colors. The most expensive wool being black wool and white wool from black alpacas and white alpacas. Black and white wool sell for 450 and shadow and light cotton sell for 320.
- The most worthwhile upgrades that can be purchased from the City are the house upgrades. Your happy alpacas will produce more wool . In comparison a windmill upgrade means frequent checking in on the game to shear the alpacas.
- 1 level higher alpacas than the highest level alpaca on your team can be captured.
- It is easier to capture the 1 level higher alpaca to rank up than to train current alpacas to higher levels. This game is weird

- Click on your rank in game e.g. Amateur, whatever you are and a box will pop up telling you how to achieve the next rank..
- Buying accessories is useless. You get accessories from other alpacas in fights.
- Eating food while in a fight is useless because it takes an entire turn and the enemy normally knocks out everything you just gave your alpaca.
- Start watching the ads they give you free coins and save up for the max pond upgrade. It takes a while, but it's 100% worth it. (Although now it is pretty hard because there is a timer for you to watch ads.)
- Catch alpacas you think are pretty or cute. These alpacas kind of turn into your family so get ones that you want to have on your team. You will be able to buy and sell alpacas, as well as capture new ones.
- Different wools are worth different amounts of money. Learn what is valuable and what isn't. Breed alpacas that will give you valuable alpacas.
- You can have 25 alpacas max. Plus an additional 30 housed in the upgradable hotel.
- The windmill will reduce the time to 3 hours.
- The house makes you so much more wool.
- If you're looking to complete your color-dex, it is much faster to capture as many alpacas as possible and sell them to make room to catch more alpacas that you don't have. If you own a fur and skin combo, above the health bar an 'owned' indicator will appear.
- The fastest way to gain money while actively playing is Alpaca trafficking. Go out into the wild with Old Ropes, and capture as many as you can without needing to lower their HP. Once you can start capturing level 7 Alpacas or higher with more than 90% accuracy with the Old Rope, you'll make somewhere around 300+ per alpaca. (Note that alpacas with the same or almost the same primary and secondary colors will sell for more.)
- Sometimes when you click/tap on your rank (ex. rookie) and you are a rookie and you need to level up, it will say you need 5 alpacas. For some people, like me, you will need to delete the game and install it until it says 1/5 or something. (Not Verified)
- If you want to capture a white or black furred/skinned alpaca, it’s mainly up to luck and patience. Black/white alpacas can be found anywhere, which means all the hills. If you want to go searching for black/white alpacas, you can get into the battles and run away if it is not a black/white alpaca. Always have a rope and a few slots open. Zenith chains are the best. Remember that you can only capture alpacas that aren’t stronger than your team. Be patient to find black/white alpacas.
- Try to always keep a decently high level alpaca at full health, so when your party is all downed you can use that one to grind in a lower level area for wools and accessories to sell while you wait on your party to heal.
